This article presents the main research and teaching work of Vasily Sergeyevich Boiko, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences and Principal Researcher at the Omsk Agricultural Research Center. It also provides a brief overview of his work during the studies at Tomsk State University, and then at the irrigated agriculture laboratory of the Siberian Research Institute of Agriculture and at the Omsk Agricultural Research Center. The article highlights V.S. Boiko's contribution to the study of irrigated chernozem soils in the south of West Siberia and their agrochemical assessment, alongside with his research in the field of soil-conserving and resource-saving irrigated agriculture.
