Advancement and results of agrochemical research in the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences

The article deals with the history and main results of the agrochemical research in the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ISSA SB RAS, formerly of the USSR Academy of Sciences), starting from the establishment of the West-Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences till the present days. The article describes the rearrangements of the agricultural research structure from the original soil fertility laboratory to the current laboratory of agrochemistry and provides information about researchers, who worked at the at the beginnings of the agrochemical studies not only in ISSA SB RAS, but in Siberia as well; scientists, currently contributing to the agrochemical research, are also presented. The article briefly describes the main research directions and results, giving a brief review of the published works.
