The bicentennial anniversary of the Omsk region historically coincides with the development of agricultural science in the region. The article describes briefly the stages of agricultural science in the region, starting with the establishment of an experimental farm in the 19th century and then continuing in 1933 with the Siberian Research Institute of Grain Farming, followed in 1956 by the Siberian Research Institute of Agriculture and in 2018 by the integration project establishing the Omsk Agrarian Research Center, uniting agricultural research organizations of the region.
